The more he interacts with you, the more he can control your mind. This interaction happens not only in dreams but also in real life. Here's a spoiler: you've actually passed by him many times without even knowing, and just a few brief encounters like that were enough for him to gain almost 50-60% control over your mind.

一想到他在BE里做的那些过激行为，可能不止因为爱与偏执，那些确实吸引着作为玩家的我的注意力。让我对他更好奇，我和他经历了怎样的过去，才让他不惜做到这种地步呢？随后我又察觉，我每玩一次游戏，都能算是他口中的一次“轮回”……所以在需要输入密码的SE里，他才说我目睹了他两次死亡，这些行为感觉都是为了进入下一个轮回而……
别的不说，看了游戏里些提到的些许Kieran的过去，我也有点心疼他……oh，渴求爱的孩子，能有这般执行力也是很厉害了！
那下一个轮回再相爱吧，Kieran！就我个人而言还是很喜欢HE的——虽然噩梦连连，但好歹有过一段较为温馨的，“自愿”的互动。

想了想还是先用中文评论吧，感谢copiklaGrogu老师的汉化，我是一个很害怕恐怖元素的玩家，也没有玩过meta类型的游戏，所以今晚鼓起勇气挑战了一下但是感觉到kieran很强烈的执念和孤独，想到他独自经历的痛苦挣扎开始难过了起来，因为我最近有点脆弱的原因暂时没法继续游玩了，但是老师用的bgm和艺术风格真的很好，之后玩完再来评价，只是想先向作者表示一下喜爱，可能解决都会有些悲伤但是希望kieran能幸福一点就好了
感谢你游玩我的游戏。对Kieran而言，能遇见你就是他最幸福的事。他本不该获得更多幸福了——那些他曾经犯下的罪行，其实远比游戏中描写的更黑暗。我甚至为他第二世的故事写了小说，只是怠惰迟迟未完成。总而言之，这个为获取爱意不惜犯下残酷暴行的灵魂，当初只让Y/N迎来死亡反而算得上仁慈。幸福对他而言，终究是太过奢侈的馈赠。

I remembered it wrong! It turns out that you have to use the name to trigger that side quest.
Actually two secret endings (´ε｀)
And it's not a side story, it's your and his real life in the past.
